Not strenuous, but okay.,

This is a half hour workout with twenty minute 'bonus'. It is Ana's 'challenge' workout (her highest level of difficulty). This workout is sadly a bit typical of many pilates workouts--some of the moves are challenging and you feel like your muscles are actually being used, but with only one or two (in a couple of cases) sets of reps, your muscles don't get tired out (an essential thing for conventional exercisers). For those pilates and yoga fans, this is probably ideal. But for those people (like me) who prefer to get tired out and feel like they've really exercised when they do a workout DVD, this will not do the job. However, I found some of the upper body moves challenging (and I couldn't have done more!), and there is one 'teaser' I just couldn't do. Not to mention the standing-to-push-up move that she then makes a one-legged push-up, which I didn't even try (and she even seemed to struggle with a bit)! So for those pilates fans, you'll probably find this a suitable challenge. One warning: it comes with a resistance band that STINKS!!!!!

I love this work out. It's my favorite pilates work out so far. I love the body band--yes it did stink for the first while, but it's fine now. My arms are more toned after doing this more regularly and I felt so proud of myself the day I mastered the one-legged push up! Certainly not easy, but that's what makes this workout great. I'm still working on mastering the last teaser (there's three!) but that's what keeps me going. The need to improve and master the entire work out. I highly recommend this workout DVD!

I bought this dvd at Target & hoped I would like it.... & guess what? I loved it, in fact I bought 5 more to give to friends. It is a very good practise to do at home or on the road. You have the body band to give you resistance & strength & it is just challenging enough to give you a really good workout & hope to improve each time...I think it is one of the best Pilates dvd's around. I bought the Winsor tapes years ago & never got into them. This is very user friendly.

I am so pleased with this DVD !! It does a great job of keeping your body moving and targeting all the muscle groups for the first 30 minute workout. The 6 foot purple, exercise band is included and it has a heavier tension than other bands I've used. It's fabulous !! The bonus workout is also a great little warm-up or warm-down.....A calming background of clean beach with seagulls and water, sets a nice mood....very smoothe and natural. All in all, a very good product for very little money and I've happily added it to my exercise library. I most certainly recommend it !! Here's to your health !!

Challenging but doable,

30 min + 15 min bonus powerhouse workouts and comes with a 4' long band. All are on the mat. Some are challenging but most of them are do-able. Ana cues very well but she doesn't encourage you by saying "you look beautiful, you look great, smile, auuuuuuuuuu, etc." (if you want to hear those). No shoes.
