About the Artist
Lenny Solomon's jazz violin virtuosity has been recognized throughout North America, Europe and into Asia. His performances are "packed full of swing, polish and enthusiasm". Named "Canada's premier jazz violinist", he has played a significant role in bringing what was considered mostly a classical instrument into new genres.
Admired for his artistic style, unique interpretations and vibrant tone, Hungarian-born violinist Moshe Hammer remains as Canada's most sought after violinists for solo, concerto, chamber and symphonic appearances. A career that has taken him across North America, Israel and Western Europe, his performances with the most prestigious ensembles have consistently energized critics, thrilled audiences and earned respect amongst colleagues. His live recital broadcasts and recordings have brought him before an even wider audience.
A native of Winnipeg and now residing in Toronto, pianist Bernie Senensky has earned the reputation of being one of Canada's premier jazz artists. His has been featured internationally in many great jazz festivals, and he is recognized as one of the foremost accompanists in the world. Influenced by the likes of Chick Corea, Bill Evans, Keith Jarrett, Oscar Peterson, McCoy Tyner and Herbie Hancock, his distinct style appeals to an international audience.
