I have never had a green thumb or a plant to prove it. I have had a hardtime culivating things in my own life. But this book opened the doors of my heart to really see that All I have to do is to trust the Master Gardener to work through me in mentoring others even my children. I have also noticed that my generation is at a loss do to the effect that we can ask "Where are the mentors?" I do not want that for my daughters. Thanks to the author for a wonderful why of reaching the heart on mentoring

This book is awesome. I started reading it on the plane and had to finish it on my return flight. As an assistant servant leader for a mentoring ministry I thought this book was perfect to train new mentors. The author's writing style was great, it kept my attention from the beginning to the end. I also have a new interest which was intrigued by comparing the process of mentoring to gardening. As I prepare to plant my seed in my mentoring relationship, I also have planted seeds to start a garden in my front lawn. :-)

This is a good book to have as a supplement to your mentoring study. Can't wait to put it into practice.
