I just finished my first round with the G6. I had seen the earlier review stating his course wasnt in it and that he found distances out on some holes compared to other GPS's, but figured I would buy and try for myself. My local courses are all listed and accurate. I thought on the first hole of my course that this GPS was inaccurate as well, BUT realized that I had inadvertantely moved the pin placement with the touch and drag feature. The touch screen is sensitive and the pin placement can be moved if you have it in your pocket with a tee or ball or touch the screen accidentally. Once I realized this and ensured I kept the pin in the default (centre green location)until I was able to see the pin placement and adjust it, it was very accurate on all the holes. I used the score card on it to keep track of my own score and found it easy to use and fun. Now that I am used to it I will start having it enter shot distances for my various clubs to build up an average file. On my home course I kept the screen for the green on during the holes and got good readings on front, back and pin (default centre green or touch and drag to where pin actually is). Even though this GPS is small and light I had no trouble reading everything on it with my senior eyesight. This GPS is replacing a basic one I had for the last few years, and was ready to move up to the newest technology. Generally I find that using a GPS has sped up play in our group and has knocked a few strokes off my game.

I checked all the courses that I play in North America; they are all there. Shot 41 on the front nine at Myrtle Beach on a course I had never played before. Yardages are right on. Any golfer can play better golf with this unit.
