¹FREE lifetime traffic updates may not be transferred to another person or another Garmin product. Lifetime traffic extends for the useful life of your Garmin traffic receiver (as long as you own a compatible Garmin GPS) or as long as Garmin receives traffic data from its traffic supplier, whichever is shorter. A traffic receiver’s “useful life” means the period during which the receiver (a) has the required technical capabilities to utilize current traffic data service and (b) is capable of operating as intended without major repairs. Traffic content not available for all areas. See traffic coverage areas.

²If you purchase a nüMaps Lifetime subscription (sold separately or bundled together with certain GPS models), you will receive up to 4 map data updates per year, when and as such updates are made available on Garmin’s website, for 1 compatible Garmin product until your product’s useful life expires or Garmin no longer receives map data from its third party supplier, whichever is shorter. A product’s “useful life” means the period during which the product (a) has sufficient memory capacity and other required technical capabilities to utilize current map data and (b) is capable of operating as intended without major repairs. A product will be deemed to be out of service and its useful life to be ended if no updates have been downloaded for such product for a period of 24 months or more. Unless otherwise stated, the updates you receive under the subscription will be updates to the same geographic map data originally included with your Garmin product when originally purchased. In some instances, your Garmin product might not have sufficient memory remaining for you to load an update to the map data, in which case you will need to either (a) select reduced map data coverage for your updates, or (b) purchase separately a microSD™/SD™ card (if and as applicable to your Garmin product) and load all or a portion of the map data coverage for your updates to the card and insert the card into the microSD/SD card slot contained in your Garmin product. If neither of the measures in (a) or (b) can be used to address your product’s lack of sufficient remaining memory, then Garmin may conclude that the “useful life” of your product has expired. Garmin may terminate your nüMaps Lifetime subscription at any time if you violate any of the terms of this agreement or your subscription. Your nüMaps Lifetime subscription may not be transferred to another Garmin product.

I did choose a "complete" as the Garmin nüvi 2595LMT 5-Inch Portable GPS because I like some features like the free map updatings or the free alerts about trafic conditions. It is very useful in quickly finding the best route to your destination.
But beware of suggestions, at peek times, of alternate routes on city streets or busy intersections. They also depends on trafic conditions. Those may either be changed by the time they are inserted in the algorithm that calculates your route or simply the navigator may "think" of strange alternatives; like avoiding slow downs in highways by exit and reentering at the same exit.
Locations with French names are pronunced in funny English . Montreal is pronounced Montreel!
Altoghether the nüvi 2595LMT is working fine. It is acquiring satellites fast and precisely. (no confusion between collector or express lanes). I would reccomend it also for use for city tours on foot. The battery is long lasting and is recharge also with the USB connection to the computer.

I bought the GPS to help me drive around British Columbia. The GPS works great, it automatically splits the screen to show you which exit to take on highways. I love the GPS speed limit display and school zone warnings. It has lifetime map updates too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Terrific GPS Sept. 20 2012
Verified Purchase
Have had the Nuvi 2595 for 2 weeks now and is my first new GPS in three years. I am very impressed with how up to date the maps are and love the photoReal junction views as well as the up to date traffic info that never seamed to be availible in western canada before. The speed limit indicator is a cool feature that is accurate and very useful. I have also found that the battery life is better than my old generation Nuvi.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for travel May 23 2013

This is our second Garmin. We really like this one, esp. the lane assist feature and the street names and exits being called out rather than the" take next exit on the right". We also like the " recalculating " feature which is not in some where one gets autocorrect route. And one wonders why it is taking along time to reach the same place . So far we haven't found any issues with it. W love it! Hopefully the map update feature doesn't t let us down and create negative impact.

4.0 out of 5 stars First Impressions Are Very Good. Feb. 6 2013

This is my first GPS and I have owned the nuvi for about three weeks. My first test use of the 2595LMT-5 was in Kelowna, BC. The map updates and inital charge via the USB port on my PC took about 2-hrs, which was an expected time, and the nuvi was easy to set up with my Home and other options.

Selecting a route of about 75-km. was easy and took only seconds to plot and display. Local shops, gas stations, restaurants etc., were easy to find and accurately displayed. The 5" screen is very clear and easy to read, although it did seem a little dim in bright sunshine and on battery power only. Connecting the charger cord to the lighter socket easily resolved this issue.

My next use of the GPS was in Palm Springs. The update to the new location was almost immediate, and maps and routes were loaded very quickly. Each journey was accurately displayed and voice commands were clear, and given in sufficient time to make lane changes etc. The junction view is very useful, as is the allowable speed limit and the indication of your own speed.

I have not had the opportunity to use the Traffic feature as it is not available in my area, but if the nuvi 2595LMT continues to perform as well as this in the long term I will be delighted.

Having some experience with GPS units, this one definitely excels. Bright screen and high definition image (5 inch screen is the only way to go) this unit is reliable, fast responding and easy to use. I would recommend it to anyone interested in a quality electronic device and perfect road trip companion. Cheers to Garmin for leading the way.

5.0 out of 5 stars very happy with this product Jan. 21 2014

I purchased Garmin LMT 2595 just before X'mas and my wife has been using it since then for 1 month. So far she's pretty happy with it. She drives 40 kms (80 kms both ways from home to office) on HW 401(We are in Toronto, Canada). This little GPS tells the better alternate route whenever there is a traffic jam, and sometimes guides to a small street that you may have never thought of. She used to spend about 1 hour when coming back from work, now with the live traffic information she saves about 5 - 10 minutes, well worth the money. Some reviews said in Canada only the major HWs have traffic data, well this does not seem to be true according to my wife's experience.
