Having just been given a forerunner 410 and having relied on a Polar system for the past few years, I was anxious to get the full potential out of the new GPS watch. My local running store wanted close to 80 bucks for the HR strap. This was almost half price, and even with shipping I saved a bundle. I'm not sure how they do it. But it works great and is nearly identical in wear and feel to the polar link. It seems fairly accurate during everything from a 10k run to hill training. The great thing about it is I can now see exactly what my heart was doing at every step of the run when the 410 uploads the data to Garmin connect. Now I'm after the footpod for days when I'm indoors. But summer is here so I'll likely put that off until the fall.

Works great with my Forunner 305. I like this model much more than the belt coming with my watch. I didn't have any problems synchronising the watch with the heart rate monitor.
