Fitness Band That Moves at the Pace of Your Life

  • Displays steps, calories, distance; monitors sleep
  • Pairs with heart rate monitor¹ for fitness activities
  • 1+ year battery life; water-resistant²
  • Save, plan and share progress at Garmin Connect™

You already know the active steps you take now can improve your overall wellness today, tomorrow and well into your future. And while it seems simple to get out of that chair more often and move, making it stick is another matter. That’s where vívofit can turn good intentions into lifelong habits. It’s the only fitness band that greets you with a personalized daily goal, tracks your progress and reminds you when it’s time to move.

Personalized Daily Goals

vívofit learns your current activity level, then assigns an attainable daily goal. As you meet your milestones, vívofit will adjust your goal for the next day, gradually nudging you toward a healthier lifestyle. At Garmin Connect™, our free online fitness community, you can earn virtual badges and view your progress.

Tells Time and "Time to Move"

Research shows prolonged periods of inactivity such as sitting at a desk decreases your body’s production of fat-burning enzymes. You can reverse that effect by taking frequent, short walk breaks throughout your day. And while you might lose track of time and forget to move, vívofit knows. A red move bar appears on the display after 1 hour of inactivity and builds when you’ve been sitting too long. Just walk for a couple of minutes to reset the move bar.

Keep Moving

When you’re ready to take the next steps toward better health, vívofit has additional features to keep you motivated. Use a heart rate monitor¹ with vívofit to record your heart rate and zone data and get more accurate calorie burn information for any fitness activity, such as a run or a cardio class at the gym. At Garmin Connect, you can join online challenges with other vívofit users or start your own competition with friends to compete for virtual badges and bragging rights.

Always On

vívofit follows your progress 24/7, and it can stay on for more than a year without a battery change. Set the sleep mode when you go to bed and vívofit will monitor your rest. At Garmin Connect, you can see your total sleep hours as well as periods of movement and restful sleep. The vívofit band is water-resistant², so you can shower or get caught in the rain, worry-free.

Get Connected

With the touch of one button, you can wirelessly sync vívofit with Garmin Connect to see a complete picture of your progress, join online challenges and earn virtual badges for extra motivation. You can access our free online community from your computer or on your compatible mobile device³ with the Garmin Connect™ Mobile app.

¹Included with some models, sold separately on others.

²Water-resistant (50 meters).

Pros:
- Syncs easily with iphone or computer
- heart rate pairing is seamless
- Auto-creates activities on garmin connect
- Love the red bar that indicates you've been sitting too long - I have a desk job and it's easy to forget to get up every once and a while and walk around
- Doesn't require re-charging
- Waterproof
- Goals can be input manually, or automatically adjust daily based on activity level
- You can take the small unit out of the wrist band - can change colours, or sometimes I take it with me on a run and just have it in my pocket.

Cons:
- Wish it included stop-watch functionality
- It's comfortable, but I do notice it on my wrist near the end of the day

Though times have changed and there is new devices on the market. Here is what I think of the Vivovit. I got my Vivofit last year as a gift. What I wanted was a watch/activity tracker that allowed me to go about my daily routine, cycle, and walk without having to do things like worrying about charging it (it's still going on the original battery). To this day I can't go a day without it. I wear it all day, every day. I wear it during hockey, cycling, sleeping, swimming, showering and I have had no issues with it. Even getting knocked around the screen is still in perfect condition. Pair it with the heart rate monitor and you get great results with any activity you are doing.

Here's a few things you should expect from this device:

- It won't track your weight lifting workouts or any activity other then walking/running. Pair it with the HR monitor and you can add the activity type. Simply put this is a pedometer, and the way it works is by detecting your arm movement.

- It won't work if you walk alot with your hand stationary. If you are a landscaper (grass cutting) or someone who uses their hand while walking it unfortunately won't count that as 'walking' due to not being able to detect the movement. I have yet to try it strapped to my ankle to fix this issue.

- Works great for those of us who get skin rashes from poor quality metals. I have yet to have an issue. Other similar devices have metal bands or other things underneath to detect heart rate which worried me in terms of my skin.

- Tracking sleep works great

Where my issues lie (software and hardware):

- The app isn't great. It seems like more of a task to use it then actually wanting to use it.

I used to love this fitness tracker. It has all the features I want and it runs on a watch battery- no need to charge it! I would have highly recommended it. Also, when the data was compared with that of a Fitbit after a walk with a friend the step counts were almost identical. Unfortunately, after slightly over 2 months, the screen failed; half the screen is now dead making the numbers and text illegible. When I called Amazon they told me I had to contact the manufacturer. If this product's hardware had not failed I would have given it 5 stars, as it is, because it is now useless to me I am giving it 3 stars. It is a great device, if the hardware does not fail.

Works well. Wanted a waterproof fitness band. Easy to set up and sync with my ipad. It needed an "O" ring on the band to secure it from falling off.

I love my Vivofit band and use it everyday. I was, however, disappointed to see it offered at Costco for 99 dollars which I consider a great deal….

Did exactly what I wanted. Buyers might want to put o ring around strap. Fell off in Airplane and didn't notice. Luckily got it back.

After trying the very simple instructions to sync up the watch with my computer and to get it started, it repeatedly would not. I first emailed the help department as a word and a number kept showing up. They sent me back to the instructions on line that I had been using in the first place. It took 2 days for the email to get a response. A day later I called the support tech people and I was on the phone with them for a solid 2 hours and 3 different departments. After an hour of instructions and trying different solutions, they tried to do it by joining my computer and manipulating it themselves from their tech head office. In the end, the tech person told me to try another computer, said that the most complaints they get is from MAC users, possibly it is their programming that is not working well and for me to return the product to amazon. I asked why not return it directly to Garmin and get a new one and he said that they would charge me for shipping. I was extremely disappointed with this product, but the tech support was excellent for their attempts to get the thing started. I only rated it one star because the option for no stars is not available. I subsequently purchased a FitBit at Indigo/Chapters and I am very happy with it.

would give it 5 stars if it had a backlight . keeps me moving .
After using it for 3 weeks , it does not sync properly sometimes ,wipes out days of steps and data.
also the Garmin site is hard to connect to and is down quite often . 2000 steps today and the Garmin site says zero. 12000 yesterday and says zero.
Changing to 2 stars. why can't the software just be on the computer ? why do they need a Garmin site ?
