Dr. Roop is particularly adept at issues of power, place and people. One must add to this the absolute thrill Dr.Roop has for the story itself, in addition to its sacred nature. This is truly a useful addition these founding words.
A particular feature of this series is that not only is a section dealing with how the text intereacted with the original hearers, but how the text has been dealt with in the life of the Church. This gives life to the text, and reflects the words as the Living Word. Dr. Roop engages the text with enthuiasm and brings life to often obscure portions.

The book was great but condition was the worst I have seen. Many pages ,upon opening the book, just fail out. So how I continued to manage reading the pages that fail out first.
