Ordered this product to replace a Foreman grill that I purchased less than 9 months ago. That first one had a much larger cooking area, but had numerous flaws. First and foremost was the fixed grill plates. Cleaning that thing quickly became a major hassle. That chore became even more exasperating after the supposed "non-stick" grill plates became VERY sticky after only a few months use. That is probably the main reason I purchased this replacement. It also produced an awful lot of heat that would leak into the kitchen area and add to the already high air temperature of a humid summer day in July. In addition, it was actually too large for my needs and took up way too much counter space.

This new unit is smaller but still a decent size for handling 2 large steaks or chops at a time. Cleaning the removable grill plates is now a breeze and it doesn't seem to get overly hot like the previous model. I'm expecting the non-stick surface to last much longer since heavy scraping is no longer necessary during cleaning. The overall design is just superior to that first model. If you're looking to purchase a Foreman grill, don't make the mistake of getting a model with non-removable grill plates. You will regret it very quickly. The only quibble I have is the burnt electrical smell that the unit still produces after several uses now. That smell is typical of any new electrical appliance but it usually goes away after just a few uses. It doesn't affect the flavour of the food at all, but it's a little annoying. Other than that , I'm perfectly happy with this purchase. The price was very attractive compared to most retail stores. This was my first experience with ordering a product from Amazon. I placed the order online on a Tuesday afternoon and it was delivered to my door less than 48 hours later with free shipping via UPS. The product and the overall experience has been very positive and I give a hearty recommendation to both.

The grill is wonderfully easy to clean with the removable surfaces. My old non-removable grill was a major pain to clean. The digital timer is very handy and easy to read. It would be nicer if it shut off the grill when the time expired. The instructions on grilling need updating - they say five minutes to cook a frozen hamburger but it takes eight to hit the correct temperature. The grill is certainly large enough to cook two steaks or pork chops. I'm glad I upgraded to this grill.

Advertises grill plates can go into the dishwasher but not so. The back of the plates oxidize and black get all over everything. Then the upper grill got completely rusty between the grooves for no reason I can think of and it won't come off. I have tried everything. I liked my previous GF grill and my previous HB grill but this one is not good quality at all. I cannot find a replacement grill plate anywhere so will not be buying another GF product.

The ability to expand to accommodate thicker food makes it great for those who like thicker slabs of meat - as is the case with the guy this was bought for. It works great!

I've always loved every Foreman grill I've had. This one is no exception. I wanted something with removable trays and something with a premium look and feel to it. This one doesn't disappoint, but I do have one gripe:

The left and right hinges are very loose (lots of play, which is especially noticeable when utilizing the raised lid feature. One side often gets stuck and the sides don't raise or lower together. The whole top lid essentially clangs around and feels a bit 'broken' until you realize it's just the extra play in the tracks (you have to lift the top evenly). It won't affect overall functionality much, it just makes it feel cheap in my opinion and could have been easily remedied from a manufacturing perspective. This Foreman still grilles like a champ, and the hinge feature makes it nice for thicker slabs of meat.

For anyone considering a Foreman, definitely opt for removable trays (makes cleaning a heck of a lot easier...unless you prefer the tinfoil method) and go for one size larger than you think you will need. Other than that, you can't go wrong with a Foreman. Now excuse me while I make some grilled buffalo chicken paninis :)

I spent about two weeks researching different indoor grills for use in my condo and settled on this model based on buyer feedback. The unit is a perfect size for meals for one or two people. The grilling space is large enough to accommodate your meal -- I cook evertyhing on it! Burgers, steak, salmon fillets, sausages, veggies, turkey breast, you name it. I use it every single day for something or another and twice on weekends (when I'm home). The best features for me are the timed cooking feature, the plastic grill scrapers that come with it so you don't damage the non-stick coating, and the fact that both the top and bottom grill can be easily removed for cleaning (I put mine in the dishwasher). Overall I am extremely happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it to those who live in condos where gas/propane BBQs are not permitted or for those who want an indoor grill for smaller meals or sides.

I love my George Foreman grill. I've used it for steaks, pork chops, and sausages so far and everything comes out super moist. The removable grills are a snap to wash. The timer is great as it cooks so fast that it would be easy enough to overcook without it.
