Doesn't look very durable
on January 1, 2015
Got it on time. Its smaller than I thought it would be. The ax handle is made of a thick plastic, with a rubbery surface where your fingers hold on to it. The ax blade is held in by a very thin plastic shroud, which I doubt will sustain the abuse from a missed strike, or even maintain its integrity while trying to extract the blade from being stuck in a wooden log.
In all fairness I haven't tried it yet, but my guess is that it won't last very long. I will update in the springtime once I've put it through its paces.
