easy to open and close with one hand
I can't think of any
The only downside I noticed was when I had the knife fully opened the knife wasn't fully aligned with the handle, the knife part was maybe 1 to 2 degrees off. Not too big of a deal because its only obvious if you look at the knife head on, but the knife wasnt perfect. It's a solid Gerber knife, but dont purchase it just because its endorsed by Bear Grylls.
All in all, it was what I expected. The package arrived on time in the normal Gerber Bear Grylls packaging like you would see if you bought it in the store. I was happy with the purchase, but a local outdoors co-op store which I visited afterwards had the same knife with a better price, so I would suggest checking those stores out before buying online if you have one located near you.
Be aware, though, this is NOT a good knife for one-handed opening. The thumb stud is in an awkward position and my thumb tends to slip off of it and onto the (very sharp) serrated section of the blade. If you want a flick-knife, get a Kershaw speedsafe or something similar.
This knife is a bit big for pocket-carry, but went into my EDC kitbag right away. I'm usually suspicious of "Celebrity" branded products (I gues Bear's a celebrity though I had to google him), since they tend to be flimsier and overpriced, but this knife is a keeper, and one I would probably replace if stolen. Plus, I like the fact that, if I get stopped with it, I can say "weapon? No, officer, it's a Boy Scout knife."
Handy belt clip which works well.
Blade sharp and with serrations.
Excellent for this price

This knife may look to be a cash grab, but it is actually very well-made and extremely sharp. I have used it for multiple tasks and it has proven to be extremely reliable. Read morePublished 22 months ago by Nicholas C. Fuss
This is a decent knife to have as a backup. I wouldn't rely on it for an EDC as it is a little on the flimsy side. Read morePublished 23 months ago by TS
