I've been trying so hard to find longer books for my 7 year old daughter to read, but most books don't hold her attention. She still wants books with plenty of pictures and I want longer books that take her 30+ minutes to read. It doesn't seem like there are many series of books that are longer, but also have pictures. I haven't found any longer books that even come close to the Geronimo books!Geronimo Stilton is PERFECT for her! The books seem to average about 100 pages. And every page has color on it! Some of words are written in various colors with different fonts and almost every page has a picture on it. This particular book did have a few pages she wasn't too interested in, like going over the differences in various types of whales, but overall she had a blast reading it. The story line held her attention! This was the 4th Geronimo book she has read and I'm so excited that there are so many books in the series. We've already bought some off Amazon and reserved some at the library!

I bought this for my son who has every numbered book of Stilton. He loves to get the new book and is always surprised another book has been made. This is a good series of books for children who like adventure books.
