Excellent for quick overview. Great for use in Study Groups preparing for the CNA Gerontological Nurse Cerfification exam.

The accompanying textbook is extremely good and has web-support, critical thinking questions and case studies with answers.

4.0 out of 5 stars Gerontology Nursing Handbook March 4 2009
By M. Malone - Published on Amazon.com
This product is very helpful. It sums up the chapters well and hits the key points. It is pretty much a mini version of the big book. It is in good shape and doesn't have hardly any marks in it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gerontological Nursing Text Feb. 16 2009
By Noelle - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This was a required text for the geriatric clinical rotation in my nursing program. We didn't use it a whole lot, but I found it well written and it presents what you might expect to see in the "older patient population" in a non-biased manner. There is so much "ageism" in society today, I think it is important to realize that just because a patient is growing older in years doesn't mean they are feeble, senile, or less worthy of attentive health care than someone younger.
