From Library Journal
Thomas's stories are about women and how they relate to men. A variety of women-young, old, weak, strong, happy, and sad-figure vividly in scenarios that focus on the men, or lack of men, in their lives. Like some relationships, Thomas's stories seesaw between poignancy and slapstick. Her style is fresh and clean, and she captures the adolescent hormonal battle, the accidental pregnancy, the May-December romance, and the casual encounter with wit and humor. Her knowing voice will strike a chord of recognition in most women, and who knows what insights male readers might uncover. Recommended for general audiences.
