I recommend two books, Getting Rid of Gout (Emerson) and Beating Gout (Konshin). Whie both cover the entire spectrum from cause to treatment, the first goes in depth on cause & prevention, and the second goes in greater depth on treatment & relief. Taken together, the pair is a 5 star. Taken seperately, each is a 4 star. Acute Gout Arthritis is absolutely no fun, and these two books have definately played a major role in my ability to control the condition.
