This 7-Disc volume (the second season or "gig"), based on Masamune Shirow's graphic novels, is completely worthwhile, full of interesting plots, ideologies, characters, action, popular and provocative philosophy, and brilliant animation. It is intersting and impressive in MANY ways, and is a very good price for this release version. It contains 7 DVDs and is 26 episodes in total. I highly recommend it.

This was an outstanding buy for the money. Disks came in a very ingenious box that helps save space on my DVD rack. Fitting 7 DVDs in a double-size DVD case is great. The quality of the set is just top notch. Crisp video and with awesome English dub audio. If you are into Cyberpunk genre anime with sophisticated story line, this is a must have anime.

If you liked the first SAC series, this one is almost better. Not perfect, but brilliant in almost every way. English dub is watchable, but subtitles are still recommended. (Caveat: I watched a fan-subbed broadcast version of this series, cannot vouch for the quality of features/subs on this DVD version.
