Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis wrote the script, but Bill Murray gets all the best lines and moments in this 1984 comedy directed by Ivan Reitman (Meatballs). The three comics, plus Ernie Hudson, play the New York City-based team that provides supernatural pest control, and Sigourney Weaver is the love interest possessed by an ancient demon. Reitman and company are full of original ideas about hobgoblins--who knew they could "slime" people with green plasma goo?--but hovering above the plot is Murray's patented ironic view of all the action. Still a lot of fun, and an obvious model for sci-fi comedies such as Men in Black. --Tom Keogh

i picked up Ghostbusters on blu-ray for $9 at wal-mart, not a bad price for a blu-ray since the dvd is almost the same price. The transfer wasn't all that great. Quality is near dvd and the picture looks like your watching it in the theatre in the 1980s. I'm finding that most blu-rays, if not remastered, look near dvd quality and not worth replacing or upgrading your dvd collection.

Je remplace tranquillement mes VHS par des DVD et Blue Rays quand je ne trouve plus la version DVD. Revoir ce bon vieux film avec Bill Murray, et tous les autres acteurs tenir compte de ce qu'ils ont réussi à faire sans toutes les technologies d'aujourd'hui, bravo. C'est drole c'est vivant et distrayant. Dommage que la version 2 ne soit quand en anglais.
