This review is from: Ghosts of the Garden State: Haunted Places in New Jersey (Paperback)
I'm sorry, but this tiny book is not worth it's low price. It's very badly written (as if the author is speaking to a small child), disjointed and the amount of information is so small, that it's more like a booklet; she merely touches on each subject.
Really, I liken this book to a high school essay. The author seems to have taken a few books and magazines (mostly Weird New Jersey) and re-written them in booklet form. She footnotes the magazine Weird New Jersey so often, that I think the authors of that fine book should have co-credited!
Speaking of Weird New Jersey, if you are interested in New Jersey ghosts and other strange phenomenon, I advise you to read "Weird N.J.: Your Travel Guide to New Jersey's Local Legends and Best Kept Secrets", by Mark Sceurman and Mark Moran. These guys have been writing about NJ ghosts for a long time and are much more thorough in their research (and are better writers, to boot).
