Review

In this chilling story, spirits interact with one another in an attempt to protect themselves from the intruders. Find out how far they are willing to go to get the investigators to leave and never come back.

(Lethbridge Herald, The)

This amazing true story is a frightening account of a three year investigation into the multiple haunting of a once-grand Mississauga mansion on the shores of Lake Ontario. During the day, this remarkable place with its rolling green lawns is like a dream come true. But the dream turns into a nightmare as the sun goes down. When darkness falls, the overwhelming feeling of being watched takes over. Things move here, shadows swirl around you, spirits whisper to themselves.

Join renowned paranormal investigator, Richard Palmisano and his team, The Searcher Group, as the spirits at the lakeshore mansion lead them to the terrible secrets hidden inside the grounds and an encounter with a ghost full of anger and hate. In this chilling story, spirits interact with one another in an attempt to protect themselves from the intruders. Find out how far they are willing to go to get the investigators to leave and never come back!

Spine-tingling chills. Guaranteed.

This book is the result of 3 years of investigation by Richard Palmisano's paranormal team into Mississauga's Bell-Gairdner (Fusion) Mansion and the Robertson Farm (across the street). The two hauntings were very different but fascinating to read about with an incredible amount of interactive activity between the ghosts and the researchers. The researchers learn of a hidden burial, a lynching, a drowning and a hanging from long ago. They see shadow creatures, experience all sorts of EVP phenomenon and so much more!

The author presents the evidence as it happened and includes well-researched historical background. The author describes the scientific procedure that the team observes in conducting an investigation to ensure objectivity and untainted viable results. Palmisano goes one further than most investigation novels, he tells the reader about the equipment used and how it was supposed to work. Palmisano relates his own theories about where ghosts exist in comparison to our existence and his own project for bringing those two realities into more harmonious communication. He is also careful to include reflections on the feelings of the researchers as the investigation progresses; feelings are especially important in ghost investigation as the ghosts also have very strong emotions, too.

This book tells the story about an investigation the author and his team conducted over a number of years. The amount of amazing occurrences that took place at the location while they were investigating is phenomenal. And to make things even better, information that they gathered from their investigation takes them on a journey and a new location across the street. A Farmhouse with it's own history and ghosts. Together, the author and his team work tirelessly to piece together the pieces of the puzzle to try to create the story that is the Fusion House.

This is an outstanding book. I have quite a section of my personal library devoted to true ghost stories and paranormal research, and this is the most chilling thing I have read in years. (I'm almost 50 and I had to sleep with the lights on.) What makes it so compelling? Palmisano tells the story with a two-pronged spear, using both the recorded data accumulated at the site, as well as the intuitive information gathered by the psychics. Beyond this, the personal experiences of the team during the 3 year investigation are gripping, and very well told. And yet, what really makes this memorable is Palmisano's storytelling, his willingness to admit to fear and bafflement, and his thoughts on the ethics of what he is doing. Fascinating! But don't think of this book as overly intellectual. The spirits in the mansion, the farm house and especially the Coach House will keep you awake, and with the lights definitely on. Ever wonder...What kind of ghost a psychopath would be...?

I absolutely LOVED this book! It was especially terrifying since it is true and located just outside of my hometown of Toronto! I highly recommend this book. I have bought it for just about everyone I know so that they too can share in the fascinating, "scary" experience! I can't wait for Richard's next book to come out!
