Very stirring soundtrack. Am told that it repeats a lot of music on the first CD (there's one for every episode but on the 1st two are available in the US). However, Amazon didn't have the 1st one so no worries there.

I'm not good enough to give a detailed deconstruction on why this is an excellent score. But it is better than your run-of-the-mill JPop-littered soundtracks of even more decent animes. At times its very much like John Williams' scores for Hollywood movies. Many people love it without having seen the series. I heartily recommend it.
