Brigitte was hoping to inject Ginger to save her, but there was so little of her sister left in the beast she confronted in the basement of their home that it was too late for Ginger but it might not be too late for Brigitte.
Brigitte's journey takes her far from the suburbs of Bailey Downs to a drug rehabilitation clinic, run by Alice Seversen (Janet Kidder), a street-smart former addict who believes Brigitte is another strung out teenage drug user like the ones she tries to help on a daily basis. Assisting Alice at the clinic is the handsome but immoral orderly Tyler ( Smallville 's Eric Johnson), who it turns out, is much more interested in his own specific needs. Add into the mix the 14-year-old Miranda (Tatiana Maslany), known to all as Ghost. Not at the clinic for drug problems, Ghost is in residence there to be with her bedridden grandmother as she recovers from horrible burns. Her fascination with Brigitte's problems has her playing a key role in the story. And let's not forget Ginger (Katharine Isabelle) dead, but appearing before Brigitte as a counselling apparition to lend her own advice and words of wisdom.
And finally, there is the beast a fierce lycanthropic creature that is stalking Brigitte.

What happened here?,
By Alex Carr (Seattle, WA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Ginger Snaps 2: Unleashed (DVD)
I am not going to even compare this to the original, because as another reviewer stated, that is unfair. Ginger Snaps 2 has a few great moments that, for fans of the original, will be welcome additions to this unfortunately poor film.Ginger Snaps 2 always looks great, which is nice since the film's plot is such a bore. How many sequels are going to use the "the only survivor from the first film is trapped in an insane asylum" plot? Well-tread territory. I will not spoil the film's ending, but I will lament its disappointing turn. To simply throw a twist into the ending of a film does not make up for the lack of originality of the film as a whole. Plus, the twist and subsequent ending have nothing to do--at all--with the Ginger Snaps franchise. It's just like, "Well, here's a twist," and it involves a sub-plot so inconsequential that the twist itself is meaningless. Boring, disappointing stuff. Let's hope the prequel has an actual ending and not some tacked-on nonsense.

Its a snore fest! Lack of gore. Dumb concept. The first one was one of the best werewolf movies ever made, but this one truly buried this series. I gave it 2 stars instead of one, because the main actress is very good. It's a shame though, I heard from the official website they are doing a prequel to the first movie in the future with both girls, lets hope it will be better! SEE THE FIRST ONE(just like the howling, everyone after the original was terrible)

I just bought the movie last night and I loved it. The only complaint is that Ginger was not in the movie all the way through. I saw the first one and loved it. This is a great follow up I'd definately recomend you to see the first one if you plan on renting or buying this one. The movie is excellent and is worth watching over and over again.
