this book shares photos not seen unless one is willing to dig. the wonder of the book is the narrative that accompanies each photo. when viewing these unfamiliar images of everyday things the descriptive words orient one to the time, place and event allowing the pondering to become a short story with authentic characters. what were they thinking? did they like where they were? what were they smelling? what was for dinner that eve? did any of them have a futuristic idea of what they were participating in? the layout is easy and accommodating: very pleasing to page. great for a rainy day, traveling, and especially when vacationing in or near glacier park.

The cold does not counter the innate beauty. Displaying the sights of the area, and offering historical context, "Glacier Album" is an intriguing take and a solidly recommended pick for any lover of nature and historical photography.
