Glass WaterBottle 16oz Ice Grn

I was looking for a glass bottle after being disgusted with SIGG bottle recall. I spent a small fortune on them for my family and friends based on their reputation. This was after I had to throw out number of water bottles from Nalgene when the BPA fiasco broke. Now forget special nonleaching liners or special plastic, glass is the only way to go for me.

I debated between the Life Factory glass water bottle and this one. I got this first since I needed a 4th item for 3 for 4 deal. I washed it in the diswasher first then hand washed with a bottle brush. My 6 yr old refused to drink from it saying the water tasted bad. It had a slight chemical smell which I thought came from the cap. The smell disipated quickly.

i got the 16oz size in ice blue. It is very elegant looking and it's nice that it is slim when I slip it into my bag. The problem is it is so slim it won't fit in a cup holder and because it is glass I don't want to risk it falling out. The mouth itself is very narrow 1 1/4 inch opening which makes it bit ackward to drink from. It is so slim it feels disportionately tall and I am always afraid it would be easy to knock over when standing on a surface. Did I mention it is slim? :)

I like the 22oz life factory bottle better. It has a wider opening, fits into the cup holders and has a good ergonomic feel, heft and balance.

I was looking for a glass water bottle to avoid the cancer. This one does the job. Thick glass surrounded by silicone sleeve. The sleeve picks up a lot of crud so it'll probably have to be cleaned every so often.

The water bottle is very slim and combined with the sleeve it is great for drinking out of. It fits well in my small hands.

The best part is the cap. Really solid screw on. You have to use it to appreciate it but it's the part you use most often and it works very well.

I was a little nervous about buying a $30 water bottle without any reviews so I figured I'd leave one. I'm very satisfied. If you want a glass water bottle thats stylish and very functional this fits the bill.

I've been using this bottle everyday for almost a week now and I have to say I love it. No plastic/metallic taste when I drink. Finally! It's slim/compact so it fits easily into a gym bag. It's probably about the same diameter as a 16.9 oz poland spring bottle but it's a little taller. The description of the opening as "wide-mouth" is probably a little misleading (it's about 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 inches in diameter). The mouth is not as wide as the body of the bottle but it's a wider mouth than a poland spring bottle. Personally I like it because it reduces the chance of spilling while drinking but if you really want a wide-mouth water bottle I'd suggest you try something else. The other thing I like is that the silicone sleeve can be pulled off completely for separate cleaning.
