Glee: The 3D Concert Movie

I LOVE GLEE and have numerous CD's and DVD's. However, I wish I hadn't bought this one. The screaming crowd distracts cosiderably from the music. Most of the musical numbers appear on other abums in the studio version, which is a more appealing format.

I found the sound clarity and quality sadly lacking. If you enjoy the songs, stick with the shows regular CDs.

Alright, two things. First, if you're a fan of Glee, get your fanny to the 3rd Concert movie in support of the show we love (And not just because it's phenomenal!). And 2nd, while we know and love these songs by heart, having listened to them hundreds of times on our CDs or iPods etc... this is NOT just a rehash of the older songs into a new album. These songs are done, and sound, live. And they are terrific! For the amount of songs you get for the price, it's an incredible bargain. I was delighted by the familiar tunes, but even more delighted by that raw performance sound that a lot of us have been waiting for. The Glee group always sounds terrific, and you can't take a bad voice and autotune it into something good... However, you can always tell that the show versions of the song have been scrubbed up, for lack of a better term. Long story short, I enjoyed every single song from the first to the last. Shining especially bright wera Lea Michele and Amber Riley, Darren Criss and Kevin McHale, and a terrific performance by Gwyneth Paltrow. So yeah, pick these CDs up or buy the album or songs digitally in support of the Glee we love so much. And while that's a good reason to see the movie by itself, the movie that spawned these hits is terrific all on it's own. I went with a few fellow Gleeks and took my best friend, who'd NEVER seen Glee before, and he loved it, and came straight home and ordered Season 1 on DVD. LOL (Glee: The Complete First Season) If you love Glee, then this soundtrack album will not disappoint.
