The GoFit Exercise Ball is a fun, yet challenging way to stretch, tone, and tighten your body. Unlike training on a stable, flat surface, the ball is a round, unstable surface, so you not only train the primary muscle groups, but also the smaller stabilizing muscles as well. The stabilizing muscles are small, yet very important muscle groups primarily used for balance, alignment, and posture. The total body ball workout is efficient, allowing you to see results quickly.
As a general rule, the exercise ball should be large enough so that when you sit on it, your knees bend at a 90 degree angle. The 55 centimeter ball is recommended for people who are 5 feet to 5 feet, 5 inches tall and the suggested weight limit is 300 pounds. The ball is not recommended for use with weight training routines. GoFit Exercise balls are made of PVC plastic and contain no Latex and each ball comes with a ball pump, 2 ball plugs, and an easy-to-follow exercise sampler.

I used this ball with exercise video 4 times. On the 5th day, my 16 yr old daughter was sitting on it talking on the phone and it exploded, sounded like a tire blowing out and the ball ended up with a two foot piece blown out of it not just a hole.

My main gripe about this ball is the surface is really slick so you slide on it doing certain exercises. I prefer the textured kind that has more friction.

Though advertised as 65cm, once fully inflated I measured it as 71cm. This isn't a problem unless you are in between sizes like I am (I have a relatively short 31" inseam for my 5'9" height). I probably should have opted for the 55cm.Otherwise, this is a decent ball. It holds air adequately; I only have to top-off with air once every few weeks. I also like the neutral, pearl color which is much better than the super-bright colors of other balls out there.
