I LOVED "The Shack"!! For me the book was life changing. The many things I had gone through in life from being taken from my biological mom at 2, a VERY physically abusive foster home, living in an orphanage and more, to finally a person a loved very much and who loved me back, being tragically killed in a car accident had made me afraid of God and very angry with him. I viewed him as mean, angry and waiting to attack me again at any moment. I saw no love or compassion in the God of my mind, only in Jesus, who I viewed as separate from God. When I read The Shack, I was deeply moved and cried throughout the book and related so much to Mack. I am glad to see that someone backs up how Young really does follow scripture. I knew my Bible fairly well and had read it through a couple of times. I had also been in many study groups, so I was not ignorant of the Bible and found very little that I would question as not following the Bible. I really wonder if those opposed to the book(The Shack) are more motivated by their own selfish pride and jealousy because of their lack of touching so many peoples lives for Christ in a positive way and therefor feel the need to attack and degrade it.
