They Are With Us Still...
Human history is a seemingly endless succession of bloody conflicts and devastating turmoil. Yet, inexplicably, in the light of astonshing intellectual and technological advancement, Man's progress has been halted in one crucial area: he still indulges the primitive beast within and makes war upon his neighbors.
As a result of seven years of intense research, William Bramley has unconvered the sinister thread that links humanity's darkest events -- from the wars of the ancient pharaohs to the assissination of JFK. In this remarkable, shocking and absolutely compelling work, Bramley presents disturbing evidence of an alien presence on Earth -- extraterrestrial visitors who have conspired to dominate Humankind through violence and chaos since the beginning of time...a conspiracy which continues to this very day.

Rise of zombie Socrates,
By
This review is from: Gods Of Eden (Mass Market Paperback)
I purchased this book knowing full well that it was simply conspiracy mumbo jumbo, however, I actually find some conspiracy nonsense to be fun to read. I also think that some conspiracy theories, while greatly exaggerated beyond all concievable reality, do indicate that the accepted version of history is often far off from the actuality of historical events. That aside I read the first third of William Bramley's work and found much of it's historical interpretations and logical conclusions to be shaky at best. But I do have to admit that I am not an historical scholar. This being said I was forced to rely on Bramley as a competant historian, which he did not prove to be.On page 145 Bramley loses all credibility as an historian when he asserts that Socrates not only wrote historical accounts regarding emperor Constantine, he also did so in the fifth century A.D., some 800 years after his death. While I am not an historian I am also not an idiot, Socrates was poisoned in the year 399B.C., he also never wrote any books. All record that exists of Socratic thought was written second hand by his disciples, namely Plato. Unless Bramley means that OTHER Socrates, he is implying that Socrates rose from the dead and having nothing better to do decided to write about the quasi-religeous visions of emperor Constantine. I do have to give Bramley two stars however because even if this is just fanciful self-delusion it is over four hundred pages and I'm sure it was pretty hard to keep a straight face for that long.

One of the primers of UFO history, ancient and modern,

This review is from: Gods Of Eden (Mass Market Paperback)
William Bramley's The Gods of Eden, is an excellent overview of the manifestion of UFO's in the historical record. What makes it even more interesting is the correlation of events concurrent to those manifestations. They appear to be uniformly bad. So much for the benevolent space brothers.Bramley's introduction makes it clear that he did not set out to "write a UFO book". He wanted to research the history and causes of war in order to find some way to end it. That he ended up in this unexpected line of research is a testament to a dedicated historian following the data unearthed, no matter how strange the path. Highly recommended.

This review is from: Gods Of Eden (Mass Market Paperback)
The Gods of Eden by William Bramley is an excellent account on discovering who the "man" behind the curtain truly is. His research has uncovered a history that has been masked for centuries. It's contains have lead to me to other works related to this subject such as, "UFOs and the National Security State" by Richard Dolan, and the "Secret History of the World" by Laura Knight-Jadczyk.
