This review is from: Gold Rush 2002: Canada's Olympic Hockey Team (DVD)
Gold Rush 2002 is in indepth look at the Canadian Men''s hockey team who competed at the 2002 Winter Olympics, from the training camp in September all the way to the final seconds of the Gold Medal clincher against the United States.
GOLD RUSH ACTION... Gold Rush 2002 brings you all the great on-ice moments from Team Canada''s six games at the Salt Lake City Winter Games - the goals, the great saves, the grit. GOLD RUSH ACCESS... Gold Rush started out as an up close documentary charting the selection process of Team Canada from the summer 2001 training camp to the announcements of the final roster at the Hockey Hall of Fame. This exclusive home video continues the story. Gold Rush 2002 cameras were trained on Team Canada from their first step onto the ice in Salt Lake City to their historic step onto the gold medal podium. GOLD RUSH DRAMA... The complete package makes for an epic saga beginning with the hopes of a team still smarting from the 1998 disappointment in Nagano to the tense, tentative start in Salt Lake City to the incredible do-or-die road to the Olympic gold!

Miracle vs. Heart,
By J. Batten "J. Batten" - Published on Amazon.com
A must have for any Canadian hockey fan. When there was no hockey last year I must've watched this ten times. A behind the scenes look at how the Gretter and company put together the golden boys. And what about the Gold rush of 1980? That was 26 years ago and we still hear about it like it happened yesterday. Give the country that created the game a moment in the sun, I know it's hard too because Canadian players and teams make miracles happen on a daily basis, but that's because we rely on our hearts (oops, I've given away the secret to Canadian hockey). I mean seriously, what do you want, a Disney sequel to Miracle?

What about the Gold Rush of 1980?,
By Glenn M. Schoditsch - Published on Amazon.com
The Gold Rush 2002: Canada's Olympic Hockey Team is great! But what about the 1980 "Miracle (Widescreen Edition) on Ice" Men's hockey team who competed at the 1980 Winter Olympics at Lake Placid, NY? From the training camp all the way to the come from behind wins against the then mighty Soviet Union and then the Gold Medal clincher against Finland two days later?
Both are proud moments for North American hockey! |
