In this, Barbara Keesling's latest book for women about sex, the noted sex therapist mines the idea that virtually every "good girl" yearns in her heart to be a "bad girl." And in this book she teaches them how. Her eleven chapters cover topics such as: Feeling Good About Being "Bad" Having Sex on the Brain Dressing the Part Walking the Walk Talking Sexy, In and Out of Bed Knowing Your Body Touching and Teasing Loving to Climax Playing with Toys Breaking All the Rules Shopping Till You Drop Every month, Barbara Keesling, Ph.D., answers readers' questions in her "Ask the Sex Doc" column for Men's Health magazine, and she is a regular contributor to leading fashion, fitness, and health magazines, including Glamour, Cosmopolitan, Redbook, Elle, and Esquire. Product Description

From Publishers Weekly

In The Good Girl's Guide to Bad Girl Sex, sex therapist Barbara Keesling (How to Make Love All Night; Super Sexual Orgasm) asserts that nearly every "good" girl yearns to be "bad" and offers tips for unleashing the bad girl within. Keesling, who worked for a sex therapist as a surrogate partner for 10 years before becoming one herself, explores the inhibitions that women have about sex, and explains how you can dress, speak, walk, tease, use sex toys, give blow jobs and have orgasms like the bad girl of your dreams. In addition, Keesling, herself a former "good" girl meaning that like most women, she had learned to hide her wild desires from the world offers her personal story as inspiration for all women who want to learn how to "feel good about being bad."

5.0 out of 5 stars Way to be a CONFIDENT WOMAN! May 16 2003
By Mer
Format:Hardcover
I read this book and my friends can't wait for each other to read it, so 3 of them have already bought their own copies!
If you want a book on sexual positions and techniques, this book is not for you. However, if you are a woman who wants to learn that it is OK to be sexy and how to incorperate sexyness into everyday of your life (as well as redefine your idea about what it means to be "bad") this book is awesome! It is really about becoming an autonomous, confidant, adult woman! It's great!
My self-esteem is rising as I do the excersizes (don't worry, most of them are even FUN!) in the book. My posture has changed, I no longer have clothes in my warddrobe that I do not enjoy wearing, and it has opened up a whole range of wonderful conversation with my girls. In fact, if you liked this book or are interesting in hearing more from people that have read it, check out the Yahoo! Group "confident women"!
Basically, it is easy to read and full of great information for women at any stage in life that would like some encouragement to show their natural sexy attitude!
Read and Enjoy!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars An honest refiew, not in French or by a prude. Oct. 3 2002

Format:Hardcover
I'm a Christian husband that has been married for 24 years. I don't know who that previous review is trying to impress, but who reads in French? And thanks to those next two negative reviews I almost didn't buy the book. A good laugh? Get real! My wife is beyond hope when it comes to sexual help, but if you want to know how a very [ambitious] guy feels about a healthy sexuality, read this book. This author thinks exactly like me. She's not a Christian but I've found Christian authors to be too vanilla when it comes to covering stuff like this. We live in the real world and in that world a guy like me is always [ambitious].
Reading a book like this is like a present to me. It's how I've always felt and still feel. Of course my wife still thinks everything suggested in this book is crazy and only for [the used] but to me, it was a real treat to read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Trust me--buy this book!<g> Dec 12 2001

Format:Hardcover
This book belongs on every woman's shelf--right next to Laure Redmond's "Feel Good Naked" and SARK's "Eat Mangos Naked". This is one of the very few books that gets to the heart of it--increasing your sensuality and appeal by increasing your self esteem.THAT is the aim of the book--the idea that being "bad" is a joyous attitude of self love and self respect--recognizing that you are a precious, gorgeous, voluptuous, sexy human being--and your age, size--nothing!--can keep you from feeling this wonderful about yourself if you're willing to take the risk and embrace the changes. It's playful, thoughtful and funny--and the techniques are very, very effective.

Barbara Keesling's The Good Girls Guide To Bad Girl Sex: An Indispensable Resource For Pleasure And Seduction is a book specifically written in response to a society that condemns female sexual pleasure as "bad", and applauds female reservations to sexual impulses as "good." So, how is a woman who has been conditioned to be a "good girl" to enjoy a fulfilling sexual relationship with her partner? The Good Girls Guide To Bad Girl Sex offers exercises, advice, and guidance to help "good girls" learn to enjoy "bad girl" sex - i.e. learn to enjoy her sexuality without shame. Highly recommended reading for both single and married women.

4.0 out of 5 stars Something every "Good Girl" should own! Dec 14 2002
Format:Hardcover
You have a good job, you dress nicely -- you even visit your parents once a week. However, you still have a naughty girl within that is dying to come out of her shell. The Good Girl's Guide to Bad Girl Sex is a great introduction to help even the most timid woman shatter her inhibitions. From discovering the sex toys you never thought you had (like the silk scarf that can be used to tie him to the bed) to learn how to use verbal stimulation in and out of bed, this wonderful and insightful guidebook will make you feel good about being bad. This is one of the best reading investments I've made all year!

1.0 out of 5 stars This Book Sucks Jan. 15 2004
Format:Hardcover
This book is writen in the most condisending way imaginalbe. Barbara Keesling knows everything - you know nothing. Barbara Keesling is sexy - you are not. Not all nice girls are nice only because they are repressed fridged little girls trying to avoid growing up. You can be a nice girl and still be sexy, something the author seems to disagree with. You don't have to regect the part of you that likes being nice to have a good sex life and you don't have to be bullied into thinking that you are not a complete person if you don't.

1.0 out of 5 stars I would have given this a lower score if I could... March 15 2004
Format:Hardcover
What a waste of time & money.. I found this in the bargain bin at Barnes & Noble. Now I know why...If you know ANYTHING about sex this will not help. I was hoping for something spicy, not the lame (B)ad-libs. Pahlease!! I do not need anyone telling me how to talk, walk or breathe. I was hoping for info on how to really put some pizazze in my love life, not cheesy stuff I knew in HS. Save your money, you can read more informative things on the web for FREE!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Sexual Masterpiece! Dec 28 2001
By A Customer
Format:Hardcover
I was browsing through my local book store when I came upon this book. I sat in there for about 2 hrs reading this book non-stop. It's incredible! I think it has enhanced my sexual self-esteem and desires. I discussed the book with my boyfriend, and he also read it..and learned a thing or two. Let's just say it has been a very energetic, and rough sexual experience for the both of us. He definetly knows what I want now!
