I have gone thru so many diet books it's amazing. Not once have I found a system I could readidly incorporate into my life. That is, until now. In this book, the author basically tells how she lost the weight and kept it off. And it's so easy to do! I was practically slapping myself upside the dead with the occassional 'doh!' as I read this. What's even better is the simple fact that by just applying a few of her principals, I am already on my way to a slimmer figure. So glad I picked this one up. It stays on my bookshelf indefinitely.

If you are well versed in nutrition and have already read all the latest books on food, diets and nutrition, then this is not the book for you. It is small and doesn't contain much detail. Mostly re-hashes what we have all read many times before.

Reading this book was quick and easy. The proposed plan was also quick and easy. I found a lot of inspiration and it really cleared my mind to get to the task at hand--losing the weight once and for all. I apprecaiated the author's candor and insight. I, too, have been fooled into buying into all these other crazy ways to diet. Sure, some are good, but mostly, it's a lot of work. This isn't a lot of work and I don't have to think about it all the time. I just do what she did and I have been having good results.

Everyone should read this book. Especially if you have been a life long dieter and you just want to lose the weight and be done with it!! A very common sense approach and not so hazy that you will feel like you are on your own like other non-dieting approaches. I hate those books that say Eat what you want whenever you are hungry and just stop when you are full like it's the easiest thing in the world. It's not!! This book has a plan and you will not feel deprived!! Go for it! Don't miss out on this one!!! :)

Bought this book thinking it was going to be just another diet book ,,but it is so down to earth and so right on,,the key to losing weight is portion control and if you can eat anything you want and lose weight without giving up your favorite stuff,you will lose. I recommend this book for anyone really serious about losing unwanted lbs.

I really looked forward to reading this book and I wasn't disappointed. It is a good read. Kim found a simple plan that worked for her. It is a plan that would work for others. I like that she doesn't beat herself up or make fat jokes about herself. I read one book whose author had lost a lot of weight as an adult yet the author still wanted to punish some unkind boys because of comments they had made several years before in high school. She needed to "lose that weight." She was very crtical of herself and others. I did not find that humorous. I found it sad.
Kim's book is not critical. Kim's book is helpful. Nice easy breezy read.

I am so glad I found this book! Having been on a diet most of my adult life, I was to the point of just giving up on it all. I've tried just about everything out there and while I lose a little weight, it does come back. When I got this book, I was despairing about the weight on me and didn't get to it for a few weeks. Then I thought, Oh, well, let's just get this over with. But I was so glad I took the time once I started reading. It was like the author was telling my story, as she recounted her own struggles of gaining and losing weight. I really liked how she desribed the diets she went on and I laughed out loud several times. But the most imporatant thing I read was about how she finally just gave up on dieting and surmised her situation. She found a way to do it and then she did. While it did take her some time, the weight didn't come back, which is what always happens to me. Best of all, this plan is easy to do and it doesn't make me feel like I am depriving myself at all.
