This review is from: Goodlife: Mastering the Art of Everyday Living (Paperback)
I read this book as part of a college course on philosophy. I found it to be very insightful and provides a good overview of multiple ways to look at a topic. It talks about sex, love, children... all the important "meaningful" life subjects. Sometimes serious, sometimes laugh-out-loud funny, the articles are short bites of wisdom from those who have traveled the proverbial road of life. I have re-read sections of this book over and over - I find it a great comfort book when trying to redirect my thinking in life toward appreciating all the good things.

For those who are familiar with the "chicken soup for the soul" series, you will find this collection more introspective, more thought provoking, and more applicable to your daily life. It addresses issues like "finding time", "deepening love & sex", "celebrating food", "changing the world", and "exploring spirituality". While this book sticks to quick insights rather than exploratory essays, it features today's writers and thinkers talking about age old questions in palatable ways. Featuring such writers as Dave Barry, Molly Ivins, and Barbara Kingsolver, it guarentees to have something for everyone's contemplative side.
