Product Description

From Amazon

"In the great green room / There was a telephone / And a red balloon / And a picture of-- / The cow jumping over the moon." Maybe you and your favorite baby have heard this soothing, rhythmic beginning to Margaret Wise Brown and illustrator Clement Hurd's classic Goodnight Moon once or a thousand times. But has your child ever heard it while sporting Goodnight Moon bunny slippers? This compact, clear-plastic tote carries the sturdy board-book edition of Goodnight Moon and one pair of baby-sized slippers, ready to take along for bedtime, naptime, or storytime. These 4-inch-long slippers, equipped with rubber-dotted soles, are made of a thin, soft, blue-and-white-striped fabric with felt-like bands of orange cloth around the elasticized ankles. Best of all perhaps is the sweet bunny head on the top of each slipper, and the white bunny tails on the heels. (The slippers are sized for babies 6 months to one year old) --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reading for Me Mar 14 2007
By Maggie
Format:Board book
I love this book, have loved it since my neighbour bought it for my then two-year-old daughter.

Since that time, I've read it over and over, as slowly as I possibly can, hoping that the words will last. There's something so calming about them that I always feel like I've received a warm hug once I'm done. I am then ready to go off to sleep and say goodnight to my daughter and the moon.

Thank you, Ms Brown.

Yours,

Maggie Pagratis

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must-Have Bedtime Book... July 10 2004
Format:Board book
This book was one of our bedtime rituals. When I was weaning my son from frequent night-time breastfeedings, we would read this book at bedtime every evening. Sometimes I could hear him "reading" this book to himself in the dark if he was still have trouble settling down. Often, we read it in unison, and chuckled together. It's sweet and slow and comforting, and simply taking the time to cuddle and read it has a peaceful effect on both parent and child.

4.0 out of 5 stars I gave it a 2nd try and now we like it! Dec 30 2008
By Lulu
Format:Board book
I received Goodnight Moon as a gift and didn't realize it was a "recommended" book. I read through it and was very unimpressed. After I found out it was "recommended" I decided to give it a try and started reading it to my son last month - he was 4 months old then. To my surprise he seems totally engrossed by the book. I even found myself enjoying the book - there is something quite charming about the words when read aloud slowly and deliberately for my son. The quaint drawings which remind me of a time long past. After reading the book we say goodnight to our own room.

Sure some passages don't make sense - the "old lady whispering hush" is a rabbit! (That's why I am not rating it 5 stars) But I still look forward to many many nights of reading this with my son and looking at the pictures to see what other surprises we might find together in the book.
