First off, at this price, I just bought it without thinking. I mean, I have paid far more for many other devices that I have, but for $39 I am able to cheaply put this on my TVs that aren't connected to my more expensive devices.
Set up for this was extremely easy to, just as indicated by the "three easy steps". Granted, I am a bit of techie, so for me it was a no-brainer. Truthfully, if you know how to download apps, you should be able to handle the setup of this. If you don't, please get your kid/friend/partner that is slightly more technologically adept to set it up.
Usage is easy, Google is making everything simplistic to use and understand, and for anyone who uses Google services, you will find that it maintains the "feel" and logic of the other services it offers.
Overall, I truly enjoy this, I think the one downside is the limited apps provided on it, I would really like to see things like Flixster where I can watch UVs included soon (and maybe they are there and I just didn't see them), as most of my movies now are UVs. However, for $39, this may just be a cheap way for me to watch netflix on my TVs that aren't "Smart" and are not connected to any device that let me watch netflix.
- super easy setup
- cheap way to enjoy netflix, youtube, etc on a non-Smart TV
- can control off tablet/phone/PC
- limited apps (no flixster)
- I have heard (but not experienced) that it can be slow, but I believe that is more dependent on your internet connection
Should you buy? yes, if you have a TV that can't access Netflix.
