This is the British version of the show, which is much better than the Americanized one. As much of a jerk as Ramsay is, it makes for great laughs and entertainment as he rips into wannabe chefs and restaurateurs. Bullocks to them! There are 16 episodes (about 45 min each), with a "revisited" feature for several of them where Gordon goes back a year or so later to see how the restaurants are doing.

This UK TV show, is easily Ramsay's best series. It is mind boggling how inept all these restaraunt owners are. It is amazing to see that Ramsay is able to plow thru the layers of bad management & resurrect these hopeless business ventures. We get to see truely amazing makeovers of; Head Chef's, Chef Staff, Head of house, servers, owners & complete restaurant enterprises. Against superb advice from an expert, the owners & chef's poise ridiculous resistance, but Ramsay usually overcomes. Those who refuse to listen, usually quit or fail & lose it all. Real life drama, that outshines most boob-tube mindless shows. As a business owner, i applaude Ramsay's In-Your-Face harsh advise, that usually manages to breath new life into hopeless cases. Love seeing the returns & Follow ups, i wish every episode thad them. Can't get enough of this show. Why oh why can't we buy the complete series? Is there a different America clone of the series?

Is this the same as Series 1 & 2 of the British show? Is it Season 1 & 2 of the US show?Who's going to buy this without knowing what's on it? Can we have the usual Product Description complete with a list of the restaurants visited, please. Then maybe it could be reviewed. John Ottawa, Canada
