From School Library Journal
Grade 3-5-- Surcouf presents an adequate account, with little fictionalization, of the subject's accomplishments as an aspiring young actress, as well as her philanthropic efforts as Princess of Monaco. The tone is laudatory and the circumstances of her death are glossed over. Ample full-color and black-and-white movie stills and photographs--both formal and candid--are interspersed throughout this brief biography, but their chronology is, at times, erratic and often seem like filler. --Beth Irish, Orange Public Library, CA
