5.0 out of 5 stars Must have for any Psych student, Sep 20 2011

This book is a must! A review of almost every Psychology Program in the nation, stats about acceptance and averages, where they stand in APA's eyes...it would be foolish for anyone looking to further their education to not have this resource. Additionally, this is one of the *very* few books that isn't specific to Counseling/Clinical! IO, Social, Decelopmental or Sport? You name it, find the school that offers it, it's likely to be here. All for less than HALF of what it would have cost from APA directly - and I am a member - this was a no brainer for me.

4.0 out of 5 stars Extremely Helpful, Dec 25 2011
By PsychMajor - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Graduate Study in Psychology (Paperback)
This book is an extremely helpful tool to deciding graduate programs in psychology. When I came across it I knew it was #1 on my Christmas list! I'll be finishing my Bachelor's soon and this book is giving me a better idea of what school might work best for me depending on the type of psychology I choose to go with, as well as the statistics of actually being accepted into that school. It lists the application and admission statistics, what degree (master or PhD) and what in what type of psychology, as well as financial information. What was also incredibly helpful was the section titled "other criteria" for each school, which specifies what level of importance certain things are, such as GRE scores, GPA, letters of recommendation, etc. Really a helpful tool to anyone deciding which psych degree, program, and school they might like to attend!

4.0 out of 5 stars Dense but Good, Feb 28 2012
By Ali - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Graduate Study in Psychology (Paperback)
This book will give you a headache if you study it for too long and there are no legends or keys to interpret some of the short hand written in this book. A very exhaustive and thorough book never the less. I would recommend buying this book if you need to consider vast quantities of possible programs. If you already have many good programs in mind, the book would not be necessary as it will not offer you much more information on those programs.
