Product Description

From Booklist

This sequel to The Castle of the Silver Wheel has the vice of not being terribly intelligible if you don't know the first book; indeed, it practically demands a genealogical chart. Otherwise, it's a fine exploration of the situation that arises when a kingdom comes under a curse and an heir must be found to do penance for his father's sin--but nobody knows what the sin was or where the heir is! Gwenlliant and Tryffin, wed at the end of the first book, are now exploring the full range of their powers and becoming deeply involved in the search for the heir. A well-told tale that captures the Celtic faerie atmosphere in all its beauty and confusion. Roland Green

Ingram

The rune-carved ring of an ancient mummy catapults Gwenlliant of Celydonn and her infant son into the Shadow realm, where a monster stalks the children of Celydonn.

4.0 out of 5 stars This is a good book but not her best work., Jun 8 1999

This review is from: Grail And The Ring (Paperback)
It takes a little to get into the book. But after about two or three chapters the story finally get going. I didn't like the way she put so many different story lines in the same book with no apparent connection at all until the end when finally the characters reveal the secret. It's no fun if I can't at least try to figure out the mystery.
