Another winner from Happy Madison,
By
This review is from: Grandma's Boy (DVD)
Allan Covert finally gets to step out from Adam Sandler's sizable shadow in Grandma's Boy, one of the best, most re-watchable weed comedies I've ever seen. Covert is not alone, with him he brings in most of Sandler's reliable sidemen, such as Peter Dante, David Spade, Kevin Nealon and Rob Schneider. Joel Moore (Avatar) and Linda Cardelini (Freaks & Geeks) also class up the place several notches. The plot is pretty simple. Allan Covert has been evicted from his apartment (not his fault!) and decides to go live with some new "roomates" -- his grandma and her two friends. But he can't let his co-workers at a video game company know that he's not throwing it down with hotties every night, so he keeps it on the downlow. Covert has the best job for any weed smoker -- he tests video games all day. If you like video games, this movie is for you. Things come to a head when Linda Cardelini shows up to get the game released on schedule, and the head designer (Moore) seems a little jealous of his teammates. During the course of the movie, copious amounts of the herb are consumed before the action packed video gaming climax. If you like movies such as Half Baked, Billy Madison, or Little Nicky, this movie is for you. 4 stars.

Priceless comedy you could watch over and over,

This review is from: Grandma's Boy (DVD)
This comedy is definitely not for the politically correct. Lots of nudity, drug use and profanity but always within a funny context. This has hilarious overviews of both geek and stoner cultures. J.P., who plays a nerdy video game prodigy is one of the funniest, most pathetic movie characters ever. You can't go wrong with this one.
