Would Have Loved More,
By
This review is from: Great Shift, The: Co-Creating a New World for 2012 and Beyond (Paperback)
This book could be labelled an introduction. However having a lot of experience with topics of this nature, what I was looking for was perhaps a small blurb from each author into something more profound that would lead me further into the direction I want to go. Let's face it, sometimes in a large volume there is a line or a paragraph that has opened you up and you go forth from there - rather than a culmination of the entire text. That's what I was hoping from this. But, this almost and I say this with respect to the authors...it's almost like an introductory for someone who's not quite ready for a 'real' introduction. Gentle is a good word. If you're brand new and beginning a journey or, more specifically, "searching" then this could be a small and gentle (there's that word again) beginning onto a path. Lee Carroll is a brilliant story teller bringing Kryon information forward. I suggest beginning there. The Journey Home: Michael Thomas and the Seven Angels is a fabulous parable that you'll keep and read again and again.Back to this book; the idea was there but it wasn't quite worth the anticipation I had for it's arrival.

Great Spiritual Guide to Prepare for 2012,
By Sheila K. Myers - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Great Shift, The: Co-Creating a New World for 2012 and Beyond (Paperback)
I was blown away by how great the Great Shift is, jammed packed as it is with original new ideas for facing 2012, and replete with suggestions for self empowerment during this time. Martine Vallee, the editor, has wisely chosen selected channelings of three major new age authors and in so doing has provided a fast paced, informative, highly entertaining and thought provoking work.Patricia Cori, Lee Carroll and Tom Kenyon present more compelling evidence that there will indeed be an ascension of the consciousness of humanity around the year 2012 and they also provide practical ways to prepare for this momentous shift in vibration. In addition, they describe some of the ramifications attendant with such a profound transformation. Another aspect of the work which I particularly enjoyed was the unexpected inclusion of some of the editor's personal psychic experiences, about which each author provides cogent insights. I highly recommend The Great Shift for anyone wanting a glimpse of 2012, the years leading up to it and wanting a great read. Sheila Myers 59 of 64 people found the following review helpful

keep an open mind,
By Julie Clayton "Julie Clayton ~New Consciousne... - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Great Shift, The: Co-Creating a New World for 2012 and Beyond (Paperback)
Channeled messages--no matter how open to the idea I might be, it makes me just a little uncomfortable Within the hidden chambers of my discomfort I wonder: What if channeling is all made up, just an elaborate story or stories I want to believe, but believing requires that I throw common sense to the wind?If you are asking yourself a similar question, then you are exactly where you should be in the context of conscious evolution. For this is precisely the core message from this collection of channeled messages in The Great Shift: humans are undergoing an energetic shift from our lower energy consciousness to our inter-dimensional consciousness. Fear, ignorance, and dogma are our greatest hindrances from the numinous state (i.e. mystical experiences). The more we can dispel their illusory sense of control, the easier this transition will be for us personally and collectively. This does not mean that we don't keep our wits about us when delving into the unknown; in fact, author Lee Carroll suggests we create an imaginary box and toss any ideas or messages that don't seem right for us into it. He also suggests that we consider channeled messages simply as information from other states of consciousness. The channeled messages in this book, from Kryon, The Hathors, Mary Magdalen, and The High Council of Sirius are positive and encouraging: "Their overriding message is to remind us to be fearless, noble, and loving--taking care to raise the vibration of our own bodies and minds so that we can shine our inner light out to the world that surrounds us." People who resonate with this "lightworker" path are necessary to transcend--and transform--the world. For it is not just human consciousness that is shifting, but Gaia and cosmic consciousness as well: from fourth dimensional consciousness to fifth dimensional consciousness--outside of space and time. With or without us, we are told, this great shift is occurring, and we can choose to co-create it with strength, balance, and a higher vibration--or not. From an intellectual perspective, I found the tone of some of the messages curiously outdated in some respects, and quite new-agey. I attribute this either to the filters of the channeler, the perception from the channeled beings that this is the general level of understanding, or that this material isn't channeled at all. For example, the old adage of "it's not what happens to you in life, it's how you respond to it" has been circulating for centuries. Perhaps there is hope that if we hear it enough times, we may finally get it. Amidst messages about sound healing, empaths, crystal skulls, molecular structures, crop circles, terrestrial neighbors, Lemuria, Egypt, or the Akashic Records, there is another theme that emerges: the path to higher consciousness comes through our heart. "Find a way to live your life in joy and happiness," we are told. Not new information, just presented from a different context. So, perhaps it really doesn't matter if these are actually "channeled" messages; what matters is how we choose to live the self-evident truths contained within them. Important Information from beyond,
By Robyn A. Curtis "Angie" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Great Shift, The: Co-Creating a New World for 2012 and Beyond (Paperback)
This is an important book. We have to eventually accept that people who have lived on the earth before, still exist, and it IS possible to communicate with them. It is also possible to communicate with highly evolved beings on other planets. And since we, on this level can never know the truth of our past especially since history has been distorted by religious power agendas, it makes sense to explore channelled writings to get a bigger perspective on things. These three channelled sources are highly regarded amongst those that know and Martine Vallee asks very pertinent questions of each of them about different subjects, the past, the present and the future. It behooves us to pay attention to their important messages. Highly recommended reading for a broader understanding of things to come and the truth about events of the past (especially the distorted stories about Mary Magdalen's role in the life of Jesus. At last we have the profound opportunity to hear HER version).
