Selena's greatest English hits TOGETHER,
By A Customer
This review is from: Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
This album is one to definitely own, All of Selena's English hits together on one Disk, with her Final English Songs, and Some of her first ever all on the same disk. You'll also get the Disco Medley from the Astrodome, which is a great bonus. Selena's music is a part of pop culture, and this album is one that only further's her part in Pop Culture.

The vampires strike again,
By BuddyBlue76 @ MySpace (Arlington, TX) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
I know how Texans thrive on oil wells, and obviously the family of Selena and EMI Latin must have thought they hit an oil well upon the death of Selena. Funny how they can resurrect a "greatest hits", "best of" or something like this every year, if not more than once a year to please the Selena fanbase. Don't get me wrong, I love the music of Selena, but this collection could hardly be called her "greatest hits" or her "greatest English hits". Other than "Dreaming Of You", "I Could Fall In Love" and "Missing My Baby", the rest of this album is hardly to be referred to as "hits". More like filler and tracks reissued from collections after her death, such as the movie soundtrack and Anthologies. "Where Did The Feeling Go" is a nice ballad, "Don't Throw Away My Love" is a nice freestyle track, and "I'm Getting Used To You" is a song I hear once in a while when shopping, and the rest are basically perennial fan favorites who love her English crossover songs. As one reviewer suggested, her true hits aren't included here, such as "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom", "Como La Flor" and "No Me Queda Mas". But the family of Selena and EMI Latin once again suggest issuing another collection, whether they sell well or not. Don't be surprised if a Selena boxed set surfaces in the future, if it's not already in the works.

Finally, her real English language debut!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
As awesome as 'Dreaming of You' and the 'Selena' movie soundtrack are (I've worn them both out), this is her true English album. All of these songs finally together on one CD showcase a talented artist who would have far outdone J-Lo and Britney if she'd been allowed to live and make more music in English. Play this along with the album 'Ones' (for the best of her Spanish language work), and you've got plenty of great music for hours. Rock on Selena!
