The eighteen tracks that make up this cd are great. For a first time listener, you'll hear a ton of good songs that you may recognize from the radio, but didn't know who sang them.
Why is Bruce Springsteen so cool? I'm not sure, but he definitely is.
Some of the highlights among the highlights are born to run, the river and atlantic city. The latter two are moody acoustic ballads that remind me of early Dylan. Then you move into the eighties. A notoriously terrible time in music history, Bruce has some of his best songs from that period, including glory days and born in the usa.
Basically, if you like music of the classic rock variety, that still feels fresh, pick this up. But only if you have enough money to buy several more albums, because the little taste you get of each record just won't be enough to satisfy you.
