About the Author
Muriel Wood's illustrations have appeared in a number of children's books, including Old Bird, L.M. Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables, and Margaret Laurence's The Olden Day's Coat. She has also illustrated the three previous titles in the New Beginnings series, Scared Sarah, Lizzie's Storm, and Aram's Choice. A former instructor at the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto, Muriel now draws and paints fulltime. She lives with her husband and two cats in Toronto, Ontario.

This is a beautiful Diary, although described as Hardcover it is the Cushioned Version and does Lock. Unfortunately the Locks on the Diaries I have received don't really work all that well. But at my age any secrets I may have I think everyone knows about so the Lock is no big deal. I would definitely recommend this product just on the basis it is the Cushioned Version, 100th Anniversary Anne of Green Gables Diary and it is great to add to your collection or for a young girl. Sam
