Product Description

From Booklist

Some 20 years after its first superteams' debuts, DC revamped a number of its original superheroes for a new generation. Among the most popular of these retreads was Green Lantern, a fearless test pilot named Hal Jordan, who was entrusted by the Guardians of the Universe with a ring of power that enabled him to perform amazing feats. While many stories had him battling costumed foes, others had a stronger sf bent than most superhero tales. Earth's Green Lantern was just one of many empowered by the Guardians, and he often joined his comrades for intergalactic adventures. The fifth collection of the renewed Green Lantern's exploits draws from the fifth year of the character's new run. All boast the stylish, dynamic artwork of Gil Kane, one of comics' most admired artists right up his death in 2000. Green Lantern is still going strong, and while a number of others donned the GL costume and ring during the intervening decades, Hal Jordan recently reclaimed them. Gordon Flagg

Great creative team gets its going :) Sept. 21 2007

This is one of the very best creative team to ever tackle Green Lantern. This book is delightful. Some great Silver Age moments here. This is a warm up for the next volume which is even better. I certainly hope DC continues this series; I'd love to see them reprint all the stories up to the Neil Adams run.
