Kid book also good for grown ups!,
This review is from: Guardians of Ga'hoole Box Set #1: Books 1-4 (Paperback)
Very good book. Easy to read. The box set is great, this way when I was done with one, I could easily read the next.

Fantastic Series,
This review is from: Guardians of Ga'hoole Box Set #1: Books 1-4 (Paperback)
I read the first book as a read aloud to my grade 3/4 classroom. They adored it. There are lots of intricate twists and turns to the book and the characters can be a bit confusing for a younger audience but as a read aloud with discussion it is very engaging. After finishing the first book, four of my stronger readers have picked up the rest of the series and are fighting over who gets to read the next book first. (I have multiple copies of the first 4 books, but only 1 copy of 5-15). Any story that has my students that engaged is a winner with me.

a fun way to learn,
By Linda S. Rainey - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Guardians of Ga'hoole Box Set #1: Books 1-4 (Paperback)
My kids have enjoyed reading these books and have learned a great deal about owls and consequently about birds in general from them. The author seems to have done a great deal of research and works in much detail.

Seriously Great Books - Definitely Buy the Boxed Set,
By L. Gildart - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Guardians of Ga'hoole Box Set #1: Books 1-4 (Paperback)
My nine-year-old has been plowing through these books at an alarming rate. His third grade teacher gave him a copy of book one to read over the holiday break, and, today, just over two months later, I ordered book 12. I would be into getting them from the library, the way he's going through them, but he keeps going back to the ones he's already read.I suspect young girls will like these books quite a bit. There are wonderfully strong female characters, both good and not-so-good. My son also like some of the grossness inherent in the lovely rich details of how owls go about their business, which is far less messy than how seagulls do their business. Soren is a wonderful protagonist, truly good, but not dreary. Your child will love these books and want them all. So save some money where you can. Buy the boxed set. 21 of 23 people found the following review helpful

My son can't stop reading these!,
By Trish - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Guardians of Ga'hoole Box Set #1: Books 1-4 (Paperback)
I can't thank the author enough for writing these adventure books that appeal to boys. I was struggling to find books that my 4th grade son would enjoy. The reading selections he was offered at school took away his joy of reading. Thanks to this series, his joy has returned. He has learned many interesting facts about owls along the way. In fact, he's crazy about those birds now.
