great price for various scenes,

This review is from: HD Scape Sampler [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
I took a chance because the price was right and have used this blu-ray disc often to show others the quality of both player and tv. As a sampler would indicate, it features a few minutes of each program with various locales. There is a fabulous 'repeat' option on each segment. This disc is an easy and inexpensive way to find out if other dvds in the series might be of interest.

I'm glad I got to try this first.,

First off, this is showing as pre-order on Amazon. I'm not sure why. I have a copy in my hand right now and you can buy this from several other online retailers including HDscape's own website.Essentially this disc is a sampling of 8 full-length discs/movies you can buy. I'm really glad I got this disc. I was close to pulling the trigger on the fireplace and aquarium discs, but after watching the sampler, I know to stay away from the full versions. The fireplace footage wasn't what I expected. I thought I would get video of various fireplaces that would make your flat panel look like the real thing along with some great audio of the fire crackling. Instead it included camera panning from left to right, various fire close-ups and even background music. Yuck. The type of footage in the aquarium video was very similar to the fireplace. It included fish and coral close-ups, panning and zooming and even "not-so-serene" predatory feeding. My girlfriend didn't like watching the little fiddler crab getting snatched up by the puffer fish. Anyhow, I was really hoping it was going to turn my plasma into a virtual aquarium. No dice. The rest of the videos were very much like what you could see on Discovery HD anytime during the week. Nice quality, but they weren't really special at all. 3 stars for serving a purpose. 26 of 27 people found the following review helpful

good quality but beware the fast edit,

like some of the other titles in this series, the quality is excellent. It really takes advantage of the high definition format. However, this is like other titles in the series, the editing is very fast. Too fast. Not serene enough and just when you get to admire the moment of the scene, it changes.

Terrible camera for HD Blu-ray quality,

I guess for the price it's CHEAP and I guess they used a CHEAP camera to do HD. Some shots looks as if it was done with a VHS camera, out of focus for most of the scene. It is not 1080p Blu-ray quality. Maybe the production was done with a VHS or mini DV and produced in a studio to bump up the final sequence. To use it as a sampler in a store to demo HD Blu-ray 1080p no customers would want to buy the TV or Blu-ray player. They would leave with an inaccurate concept of HD, or to understand the quality of 1080p realism.
