My kids Wii had stopped working and was giving "disk read error" messages all the time. This solved it! Keep your screws in order.

Worked great, easy to install. Shipped quick and arrived without damage. Just look up the instructions on youtube and save yourself 75 bucks by not sending your wii to Nintendo.
Wii Fix Jan. 13 2013

My Wii was unresponsive. It would not recognize any media. After some You-tube research I found a video on how to replace the laser. Much much cheaper than mailing back to nintendo. You need to purchase a special tri-wing screwdriver, but otherwise as long as you can operate a screw-driver and have a soldering-iron, you can fix your Wii.
