I just gave this product a try, I knew nothing about it, and I am astonished how great it cleaned all my jewelry and silver. It works so quickly, and so effectively. Some things I thought were so tarnished, beyond repair, and now they're sparkling new. I can't believe it. I haven't tried other silver polishes, but I am very very happy with this one. Also, it's not messy. It's a spray that dries into pink powder that you rub off after 30 seconds or so, so all you need is one cloth. No water, no mess. I am very happy and I highly recommend.

I used this product on several silver pieces out in the garage with the doors open. I did use plastic gloves but not a mask. In my opinion, the items should be washed under warm water first before dried, and not just dried. The dried pieces get in the air and you can inhale toxic particles. I also made the mistake of using a brush to get to the hard to reach places that still had some pink, and I know I bumped some particles into the air. Use warm water to get all of the product off and then dry! Because I didn't do this, I suffered from inhalation. First, I would highly recommend if you use this product use a mask and plastic gloves with very good ventilation. The product contains Perchloroethylene, a toxic chemical. In my opinion, with all these safeguards needed, the manufacturer should put in bold print what you need to do or change the product with a less lethal product, or mention the washing with warm water before buffing. I suffered migraines, palpitations, shortness of breath, faintness, fatique and laid outdoors, drank lots of water with a phone nearby in case I needed emergency help. It was scary. BEWARE!

Silver Polish Gone Wrong, Mar 8 2010

Haggerty! the name in siver polish. I ordered two cans of this item to justify the shipping fee and felt confident in buying a Haggerty product. The spray was uneven and poor coverage. Took several applications to do job. I tried cleaning the nozzle to no effect. I tried the second can with same results. Not worth sending back; into the trash
