Very nice toaster for the money Dec 2 2008
By L. Dixon - Published on Amazon.com
This toaster was given to us as a gift and we have been extremely happy with it. It is very easy to use and has the features that the average family needs & wants without a bunch of unnecessary difficult to use features. I have no trouble getting toast or bagels out. When it pops, just gently pull up on the handle and it lifts the bread a little higher so it's easy to get out. No problem. The crumb trays are easily removed to clean as well. I recommend this toaster to anyone who is looking for a reliable, functional and inexpensive toaster!
Toast comes out cold! Oct. 12 2013
By Katie - Published on Amazon.com
I have no idea how this toaster manages to toast bread and somehow the bread comes out cold! When I spread butter on the bread after toasting, the toast isn't even warm enough to melt the butter. I have to toss the toast in the microwave for 10 seconds just to melt the butter!! If you are thinking, "Well, you are just not letting it toast long enough"... Wrong! I have literally let the toast burn before but somehow it still comes out cool! It's a modern marvel of science - not a toaster. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this trash. I will never buy anything from Hamilton Beach ever again.

Great toaster, works very well! Dec 5 2009
By M. CUNNINGHAM - Published on Amazon.com
Did not get this toaster through Amazon, got it from a local box store a few years ago. Have enjoyed this toaster immensely. It has consistently performed well, darkness adjustments are precise and it is easy to operate. It has slide-out crumb trays (one for each side covering 2 slices each). It is easy to pull the trays out and empty the the crumbs into the sink. It has frames inside that accommodate any thickness of bread - it will close in on thinner break and spread out for thicker breads.

After the toast has popped and is ready, pull up on the main lever to raise the toast higher to make it easier to grab the toast and pull them out of the toaster. However, smaller breads may not come up high enough and you may need tongs to extricate the bread.

The toaster has been extremely reliable for the few years we've owned it and used it.

It is also a very nice-looking toaster.

I like the chrome finish. I like the clean out pull draws for removing crumbs on the bottom. I did have to return my toaster and the service I received from Hamilton Beach was outstanding.

Just threw mine in the garbage today July 10 2012
By Amy - Published on Amazon.com
The toast is fine, if you can get it out of the toaster. You can pull the lever up slightly to try to reach the food, but it is not high enough. The picture of the product wiht the bagels sticking up out of it is a joke! I guess if you eat gigantic bagels everyday! I could not retrieve a normal size eggo waffle out of this or a regular size piece of bread without tongs. This morning, I stuck in a frozen pancake and proceeded to try to pull it out with tongs and the pancake just broke. UGGGH! I just picked the toaster up, turned it upside down, and shoke the pancake out along with all the crumbs in the toaster. I took the toaster right to the trash can after that. I have had the thing less than a year and it is headed for the dump.
