Gr 3-6 Two pictorial presentations of types, forms, skills, and brief histories of the sports. The large colorful photographs enhance and clarify the text. Some small black-and-white photos are not very clear, but they do not detract from the overall presentation. Diagrams are also colorful and appropriately placed. Technical vocabulary is presented; definitions are provided in a glossary. Readers may enjoy the books for the beautiful photographs and diagrams. Janice C.
