This is a great rockin' "americana" cd....sometimes the best americana comes out of Canada. These fellers are from Saskatchewan. If you play an acoustic guitar you'll want to have it handy. The title track is a standout. Take your girl by the hand and dance around the kitchen as some poor guy asks to be strung up sooner rather than later.

This is good set of tunes to listen to when you drive across Canada. Sometimes a little dark....like the woods.
The vocals are tight, the guitars and other stringed instruments ring and soar, just like you want them to. You'll be singing along.

Put this in with some Neil Young some Matt Mays and some Corb Lund and you'll be all set.

This is a good canadian band and I think this may be their best album. I like it a lot.

There is hope yet on newer music! Jan. 3 2012

When a friend turned me onto The Deep Dark Woods, I was initially skeptical, but, indeed, taken in with their harmonious singing voices and their clean guitar playing. A great addition to my vast cd collection.

New to me and interesting sound. I bought based on a late-night show appearance and like it
but it's not a fav. Worth a buy to get outside your music box and you may just love it like
my friend does but not for me.
